TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The Latest on a fatal shooting by Tucson police (all times local):

12:15 p.m.

Tucson police say two officers fatally shot a man who had been holding a gun to his head as he approached officers and then lowered the weapon later determined to be a BB gun in the direction of officers.

Police say the shooting occurred Friday night at South Lawn Cemetery after police responded to a phone call from the man, who said he was suicidal and had a gun.

He was identified by police as 34-year-old Joseph Zimmerman.

According to police, Zimmerman refused to obey multiple commands to put down the gun.

Police say criminal and administrative investigations will be conducted.


10:20 a.m.

Tucson police say one man is dead following a shooting involving police.

Police haven’t released information on circumstances of the shooting but Sgt. Kim Bay says no officers involved in the incident were injured.

The shooting occurred Friday night at a cemetery on the 5400 block of South Park Avenue and that there was a funeral service underway in the mortuary when the shooting occurred at the cemetery.
