MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A final vote is expected in the Vermont House on a bill that would make it legal for adults to possess and grow small amounts of marijuana.

The bill would make it legal for adults age 21 and older to possess up to one ounce of pot, two mature plants and four immature plants. It does not create a regulatory system for legally selling and taxing pot.

If approved on Wednesday, the bill would go to the Senate, but the Senate likely will not have time to consider it this session.
