OGDEN, Utah (AP) - A mother has been arrested in Utah after two of her children shared a cookie laced with marijuana.
The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/2rgirnw ) an ambulance had taken the two girls, ages 3 and 5, to a nearby hospital Saturday after they ate the cookie. They have since been treated and released.
The New Mexico family had been getting ready to leave their Utah vacation home in Mountain Green when the girls had found and eaten the cookie in the family’s vehicle.
Their mother caught them eating the last bites and called 911. Police say she later admitted it had been her cookie, and was arrested for investigation of child endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of prescription medication without a prescription.
Authorities did not immediately release the woman’s name.
