KINSTON, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina say two people have been shot to death at an apartment complex.
Kinston Police Department spokesman Woody Spencer said in a news release that the shootings occurred around noon Wednesday at a complex.
Spencer identified the victims as 18-year-old Donald Girtley Jr. of Goldsboro and 23-year-old Demone Nesbitt of Kinston. He said Girtley was pronounced dead at the scene and Nesbitt died as he was being transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, which is 30 miles (48.28 kilometers) north of Kinston.
So far, there have been no arrests in the case.
