Amazon should soon finally release an app for showcasing its video content on the Apple TV platform, Recode reported Friday, saying that negotiations between the rival tech companies are nearing a successful resolution.

Amazon expects the app to be available on Apple’s hardware by the third quarter of the year, Recode reported.

Right now it’s possible for Amazon subscribers to watch content on Apple TV using a workaround — using Apple’s Airplay setup via another Apple product such as an iPhone  — but it’s far more cumbersome than if Apple TV carried a tailor-made app.
