18-year-old killed after shots fired into car in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities say an 18-year-old has died after shots were fired into the car he was driving in south St. Louis.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/2qOKFrI ) reports that Leland Butler crashed into a light police after gunfire erupted around 11:45 p.m. Monday. He then was rushed to a hospital where he died. A 19-year-old passenger in the vehicle wasn’t hurt.

Witnesses said they saw a red SUV pull up before shots rang out. The SUV then sped away.
