CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance has honored 13 historic preservation project efforts in the state emphasizing community development.
The projects vary from the rehabilitation of an old store in Effingham to the revitalization of a long-vacant mill building in Claremont. In Concord, the city’s revitalization of Main Street and the state’s restoration of the Statehouse dome also were recognized Tuesday.
Other projects honored include the preservation of tin ceilings at the trustees’ office of the Canterbury Shaker Village; renovations at the Northwood Congregational Church; restoration of a house and shop in Portsmouth; rehabilitation of a library in Hillsborough, a church bell tower in Windham, and the Hampton town clock; and individual historic preservation efforts.
