SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) - A Sioux City man has pleaded guilty to possessing both illegal drugs and child pornography in federal court.

The U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Iowa says 23-year-old Jose Ramon Ortega-Ramirez entered the plea Wednesday in Sioux City’s federal court and was subsequently convicted of one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of child porn possession.

Police say they intercepted a package from Mexico containing nearly 291 grams (10.26 ounces) of cocaine addressed to Ortega-Ramirez’s apartment. Police executed a controlled delivery, then searched Ortega-Ramirez’s home and found the package. He also admitted to having images of a nude minor.

He faces up to 20 years in prison when he’s sentenced at later date.
