CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Police in northeastern Iowa are investigating an overnight shooting that killed one man and left another injured.

Cedar Falls police say officers were called to the College Hill area for a report of a shooting around 12:45 a.m. Saturday. Arriving officers found 18-year-old Alex Michael Bullerman, of Waterloo, in a backyard suffering from a gunshot wound. Bullerman was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Police say about an hour after the report, officers were notified of a second man with a gunshot wound who had been taken to a hospital by private vehicle. Police say that 18-year-old man was treated and released.



No arrests had been reported by midmorning Saturday, and police have asked the public for information in the case.
