DENTON, Texas (AP) - Mason Fine threw for a career-high four touchdowns as North Texas rolled over UTEP 45-10 on Saturday to clinch the Conference USA West title and keep the Miners winless on the season.

Fine was 23-of-35 passing for 213 yards. He twice hit Jaelon Darden with scoring tosses in the first half for a 14-7 lead. He nailed Rico Bussey Jr. in stride for a 60-yard touchdown pass to go up 28-10 with 5:19 left in the third quarter.

Jeffery Wilson, who had 144 yards rushing on 20 carries, had his 14th rushing touchdown of the season, tying his career high, set last year. Wilson also caught seven passes for 58 yards. Michael Lawrence hauled in five passes for 63 yards.

UTEP’s (0-10, 0-6) only touchdown came when Kahani Smith scooped up a Wilson fumble and returned it 45 yards.
