CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The community is showing their support for seven Carson and Dayton high school students who were injured in a car crash.

Hundreds of students, families and community members gathered at McFadden Plaza in Carson City Sunday for a candlelight vigil in honor of the students.

Officials say five of the students in Thursday rollover crash had not been wearing a seatbelt. Two of them were ejected from the vehicle.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, two of the students suffered life-threatening injuries and three are in critical condition.

Along with the candlelight vigil, the community is also raising money for the students’ medical bills through GoFundMe pages and fundraisers at local businesses and school events.
