GEORGIA, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a driver who was stopped for speeding on Interstate 89 threw punches and tried to strangle troopers.
Police on Monday night arrested 36-year-old Bradley Therrien, of Georgia, on charges of aggravated assault on law enforcement; careless and negligent operation; resisting arrest; and reckless endangerment.
Police said Therrien was traveling at 97 miles an hour when he was stopped.
Therrien faced arraignment Tuesday. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
