SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) - Regional Health has appointed an interim president of Spearfish Hospital after its longtime leader was killed in an all-terrain vehicle crash.
Thomas Worsley will oversee the hospital and clinics in Spearfish and Belle Fourche for Rapid City-based Regional Health. His appointment follows the recent death of 59-year-old Larry Veitz (veetz). He was killed in an ATV accident Nov. 4 in Lawrence County.
KOTA-TV says Veitz had been president of Spearfish Hospital for 15 years. Worsley has been with Regional Health for two years and served as vice president of the Rapid City Market.
He worked at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee before that.
