DALLAS (AP) - In the headline of a story Nov. 15, The Associated Press reported that the Dallas City Council voted to pay nearly $62 million in back pay to first responders who are suing over money they say they’re owed. The payment would be to settle four of six lawsuits the city faces over the issue, but it wouldn’t be an admission by the city that it owes the back pay.
