KINSTON, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina are looking for a man in connection with a child abuse case.

The Kinston Police Department says officers were called to a day care facility on Nov. 7 after a child was brought there with what was described as obvious signs of abuse. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Department of Social Services assisted with the investigation and took the child into their custody.

Police have issued warrants for 29-year-old Kieron Montay Bass, charging him with felony child abuse as well as five unrelated warrants. The relationship between Bass and the child wasn’t immediately known on Thursday.
