NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City man accused of killing two people at a Fourth of July party has been arrested in Pennsylvania.

The Daily News reports 28-year-old Victor Ocasio was arraigned Wednesday in New York City on murder charges. Authorities say police found Ocasio in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 3 after he went into hiding.

Police say Ocasio was upset his younger brother, 21-year-old Joseph Ocasio, had been arrested for slapping a woman holding a baby the night of the house party in Queens on July 4. Investigators say Ocasio told his brother his plan in a phone call before he drove by the house and fired.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jasmine Quattlebaum and 28-year-old Herman Mullings died in the shooting. A second man was wounded but survived.

Ocasio was ordered held without bail. His lawyer’s name wasn’t available from authorities.
