HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Authorities have announced the arrest of a suspect in the shooting deaths of two stepsisters in their home in Pennsylvania’s capital a week ago.
Harrisburg police and Dauphin County officials said 22-year-old Jeremiah Battle would face first-degree murder, burglary and evidence-tampering charges.
Police said 24-year-old Natasha Harner and 16-year-old Kaliah Dearing were found dead at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 9. Officials said Battle was arrested Thursday at his home without incident.
Authorities said he was acquainted with at least two of the three sisters in the home, but officials haven’t spoken about a possible motive for the crime. The weapon used hasn’t been found.
It’s unclear if Battle has an attorney and a listed number for him couldn’t be found Thursday.
