ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a man who was in jail on a charge of setting a house on fire has died in custody.

The Syracuse Post-Standard reports (http://bit.ly/2AxAeh9 ) 31-year-old Joshua Reeves died Friday morning in the Tompkins County Jail. He had been charged with intentionally setting a house in Ithaca, New York, on fire a couple of days earlier.

Authorities say investigators were determining the cause of death for Reeves, but it did not appear to be suspicious.



The fire was set at a three-story duplex. No one was injured in the blaze.
