BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man arrested in a swamp following a high-speed chase through several communities has been sentenced to up to 14 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to theft and other charges.

Shane Collins, of Derry, was arrested in April. Police say he took off from a traffic stop in Haverhill, Massachusetts, in a stolen pickup truck. Officers pursued him through Salem, Hampstead, Derry and Sandown. Police said it ended in Chester, where Collins ditched a pickup truck and ran off.

Police searched for him for hours until he was spotted. The chase ended in a chest-deep swamp.

Collins pleaded guilty Tuesday.
