WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (AP) - An 18-year-old man is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting to death a former 16-year-old classmate.
Police on Friday charged Noah Hendron with murder and criminal use of a firearm. The Hartford Courant reports that witnesses said the Wethersfield man was playing with a revolver, sliding bullets in and out before pointing it at 16-year-old Vincent Basile and firing.
Basile, a former Wethersfield High School classmate of Hendron’s, was shot in the head. The incident occurred Thursday night at a house in Wethersfield.
Wethersfield Police Chief James Cetran says Hendron could not have legally acquired the pistol, which was found in a storm drain.
Hendron was held on a $1 million bond after a court appearance Friday in New Britain. He’s scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 17.
