OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (AP) - A 26-year-old Amish buggy driver has been killed after being struck by a car in northern New York.

State police say Jacob U. Hershberger died Wednesday afternoon after being struck from behind by a car in Ogdensburg. The Ogdensburg resident was declared dead at the scene.

The car’s driver, 38-year-old Alexis J. Gleeson, was not injured.

The accident is under investigation.
