GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - East Carolina has dismissed offensive lineman Messiah Rice from the program for a violation of athletic department policy.
The school announced the dismissal Saturday before the Pirates played at Houston. The school did not specify the nature of the violation.
The junior had played in six games, starting the previous five at left tackle.
