GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Florida will be without dynamic receiver Kadarius Toney and defensive end Jachai Polite at South Carolina on Saturday.

Gators interim coach Randy Shannon also said Monday that left guard Brett Heggie will miss the remainder of the season with a leg injury. Heggie appeared to injure his left knee in Saturday’s 45-16 loss at Missouri.

Toney and Polite did not travel to Missouri because of shoulder injuries.

Toney ranks fifth on the team with 247 all-purpose yards, including 117 rushing and 115 receiving. Polite has 22 tackles, including 5½ for loss and two sacks.

Tyler Jordan is expected to replace Heggie in the starting lineup against the Gamecocks.

Shannon said quarterback Malik Zaire will make his second consecutive start at South Carolina.
