Scottsdale police say a man forced his way into the woman’s home about 6 a.m. Tuesday.
At some point during the incident, the victim was bound, placed in the trunk of her car and driven away from the scene.
At just after 1:30 p.m., police say the woman was able to free herself from the trunk of her car that was in a parking lot of the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.
