NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man who they say fatally stabbed a woman in the parking lot of a Delaware apartment complex.
The News Journal of Wilmington reports that 29-year-old Anastasia Gear was killed Monday evening in New Castle, where she was visiting family.
Investigators arrested 25-year-old Ricardo Mendez nearby later that night. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder.
Police say the two knew each other, but they did not say what prompted the attack.
It is unclear whether Mendez has an attorney.
