GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Federal agents have raided a building belonging to a Department of Defense contractor in western Colorado.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports more than 300 employees of Capco Inc. were sent home during the raid Wednesday. Jeff Dorschner, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, says no immediate arrests were expected, and no other details about the case will be released.

Capco CEO Cordell Bennigson says the company is cooperating with investigators, but he did not release any information about what prompted the search.

Capco produces weapon mounts, as well as assemblies for small arms and bomb fins.

The Army awarded the company contracts of $25.8 million and $34.3 million earlier this month for work related to bomb production. Another $2.1 million contract in February was for the production of ammunition.
