BLUE MOUNTAIN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a construction worker has been killed in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Authorities say the victim was operating a piece of equipment when a passenger car struck it in the eastbound lanes between the Willow Hill and Blue Mountain exits. That happened about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities haven’t released the dead worker’s name, or said whether anyone in the car will be charged. Two people in the car were flown to a hospital, but their names and conditions weren’t immediately released.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes for several hours.

The crash happened in a construction zone.
