NEW DELHI (AP) - Tim Weah scored a hat trick as the United States cruised past Paraguay 5-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals of the Under-17 World Cup on Monday.

Weah’s first goal was the only score of the first half. Andrew Carleton and captain Josh Sargent were also on target in the second to set up a quarterfinal against England or Japan on Saturday.

Germany also booked a place in the last eight by defeating Colombia 4-0. Germany will meet Brazil or Honduras on Sunday.

Captain Jann-Fiete Arp scored twice, Yann Bisseck headed in Sahverdi Cetin’s corner for 3-0 by halftime, and John Yeboah converted an Arp pass right after the interval.
