ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say two men were shot to death at an intersection in the eastern Pennsylvania city of Allentown.

Police said the gunfire was reported shortly after noon Tuesday, and both victims were pronounced dead less than two hours later at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

Lehigh County coroner Scott Grim identified one of the victims as 28-year-old Richard Vera Junior and said the other is believed to be a 24-year-old man who hasn’t been positively identified.

Police chief Glen Dorney said two other men were seen running from the area, and both victims appeared to have been on foot when they were shot. No arrests were immediately announced.
