TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) - A U.S. representative has scheduled a town hall meeting in Oklahoma months after a last-minute cancellation of a similar meeting.
The Tulsa World reports the office of Republican Rep. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma announced this week that the rescheduled meeting will take place Friday in Tahlequah.
Mullin has been under fire from some parts of the city after canceling a meeting in April. He initially scheduled the meeting because he said he was concerned about public safety.
The office says attendance is limited to residents of the state’s 2nd District. The meeting notice also says “no signs of any kind” will be allowed at the event.
