BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The University of Vermont is marking the completion of the first phase of a new complex dedicated to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The $104 million complex is the largest construction project in school history.

The school gave tours Thursday of the completed buildings.

In June, Discovery Hall was completed after 23 months of construction. In August, Votey Hall reopened after an eight-month renovation.

A third component of the complex, Innovation Hall, is scheduled to be completed in May 2019.

When finished, the complex will house UVM’s departments of chemistry, physics, mathematics and statistics, computer science, civil and environmental engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical and biomedical engineering.
