STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say divers recovered the body of a man who drowned in Stamford Harbor.

Police are investigating after Rasheed Hines was pulled from the water around 11 a.m. Friday.

Capt. Richard Conklin tells The Advocate that Hines apparently waded into the water and began to struggle and yell for help. Witnesses had tried to help him.

Hines was pronounced dead at Stamford Hospital.

Conklin says authorities are trying to reach out to additional witnesses and look for video in the area.
