BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Changes are on the way for the second half of the Columbus Day weekend.

KBOI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2kvctPI ) that temperatures will be on the decline beginning Sunday for Treasure Valley.

A dry cold front is slated to sweep through the region early Sunday morning.

Temperatures will be 10 - 15 degrees cooler across the region by Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Boise issued the first Frost Advisory for the season because of the anticipated cooldown.

Temperatures Sunday night into Monday morning are expected to drop into the low 30’s in the Treasure Valley.

The cold overnight temperatures could pose a problem to sensitive outdoor plants if left uncovered.

The advisory is in effect from midnight MDT on Sunday night through 9 a.m. MDT on Monday.
