SEATTLE (AP) - Police opened fire on a car in Seattle after authorities say the driver backed the vehicle suddenly toward officers.

The Seattle Times reports (https://bit.ly/2yBCzqF ) the incident happened around 9 p.m. Sunday as police responded to a report of a “suspicious vehicle” in the Eastlake neighborhood.

Seattle Police Detective Patrick Michaud said officers were approaching the car on foot when the suspects backed the vehicle toward the officers very quickly.

No officers were injured.

Police said Monday afternoon that they had been searching for and located a black Subaru Impreza they believe was involved in the incident.

It wasn’t immediately clear if any arrests had been made.
