CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a 4-year-old boy who was severely injured by a riding lawn mower was caught under the mower when it was backed up at a Cedar Falls residence.
The boy has been hospitalized since Wednesday evening’s accident.
Police Chief Jeff Olson says the man operating the mower didn’t know the child was near the mower as he backed it up.
The man’s and the boy’s name haven’t been released.
