CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A convicted Wyoming bank robber who was recently released from prison has been returned to custody for violating the terms of his probation.
KTWO-AM reports Jack Taber on Thursday admitted two violations of his federal probation. U.S. District Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced him to another five months in prison. After that he will spend three months in a residential re-entry program, followed by 27 months on supervised release.
Taber was sentenced to three years in prison for robbing a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Casper in March 2014. He began his probationary term earlier this year.
Beginning in May, the U.S. Probation Office reported a series of probation violations, mostly involving alcohol consumption and failing to report for drug testing.
