BELLMORE, N.Y. (AP) - Long Island police say a man is charged with selling fake police badges at a flea market.
Nassau County Police were called to the flea market in Bellmore on Sunday in response to a complaint that someone was selling police badges. Newsday reports (https://nwsdy.li/2jjsUOt ) the 67-year-old vendor was selling fake badges from multiple agencies, alongside police and fire department uniform replicas.
The suspect was given a criminal summons to appear in court in Hempstead on Sept. 25. He is charged with criminal sale of a police uniform.
