PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to sexually molesting two young boys.

Prosecutors say 52-year-old Frank Andrade, of Cumberland, pleaded guilty Tuesday to 10 counts of first-degree child molestation and one count of first-degree sexual assault on the third day of his trial and just before a second victim was scheduled to testify.

One victim testified that on multiple occasions between January 1987 and January 1989, Andrade sexually molested him while Andrade served as a supervisor for the Cumberland Police Department’s cadet program and the boy was a cadet. The assaults started when the boy was 11.

The second victim said he met Andrade in 2005 when he was in sixth-grade and was molested multiple times over two years.
