PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland police say a man and a woman were wounded when their vehicle was sprayed with bullets in a gang-related shooting.

Sgt. Chris Burley says officers applied a tourniquet to one of the victims Monday morning as paramedics responded to the scene. Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.

Burley says victims were driving in outer northeast Portland when the gunfire erupted. He says the vehicle sustained multiple bullet strikes.

No arrests have been made. The police bureau’s Gang Violence Response Team has taken over the investigation.
