JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - An 84-year-old man has died in a Pennsylvania house fire and was so badly burned the coroner had to identify him by a pacemaker the man had implanted two years ago.

Cambria County Coroner Jeffrey Lees says the dead man was Leroy Durant.

Durant’s Johnstown home caught fire about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, trapping the elderly man.

Investigators believe Durant was trapped on the third floor of the home, but that wasn’t possible to pinpoint because the home’s second and third floors collapsed during the fire. Investigators are blaming the fire on faulty electrical wiring.

Lees identified Durant on Sunday.
