BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for a series of convenience store robberies in Louisiana.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in middle Louisiana says in a news release Monday that 46-year-old Keith Migual Williams of Baton Rouge was also ordered to pay $13,000 in restitution to the victims.

Williams pleaded guilty in April to five counts of interference in commerce by robbery and one count of using a firearm during a violent crime.

The robberies happened in Baton Rouge during two weeks in the summer of 2016. Prosecutors say Williams used several weapons, including guns and pepper spray, and that he forced store clerks to fill a large duffel bag with cartons of cigarettes.
