BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities say a man accused of setting a woman on fire has been captured.
WVVA-TV reports that Beckley police took Dwayne Michael Lane into custody Sunday in connection with an incident earlier that day in which a woman was doused in gasoline and set on fire in a home.
The Register-Herald reports that Police Chief Lonnie D. Christian says the victim was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with severe burns. He declined to identify the woman, and there was no immediate report on her condition.
Authorities say Lane was being held at a regional jail on a $1 million cash-only bond. .
It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
