BOSTON (AP) - The U.S. Department of Justice says the last of three gang leaders in a Massachusetts drug dealing operation has been sentenced to prison.

Officials say 29-year-old Christopher Wilkins, of Hyannis, was sentenced to nine years in prison Monday after he pleaded guilty to nine counts of possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and distribution of heroin.

The department says Wilkins was one of three leaders of the Nauti-Block gang. The three distributed heroin in the Hyannis area, with prosecutors saying Wilkins supplied it to other dealers and drug users almost daily.

Local and federal officials broke up the gang in April 2016 after they conducted raids and made arrests following a monthslong investigation.
