PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The remnants of Tropical Storm Jose continue to linger in Rhode Island, where high winds and rough seas are still causing concerns.

Several trees were down around the state overnight, and National Grid reported a handful of power outages Friday morning.

All ferry service to Block Island was canceled because of the conditions.

Block Island is under a tropical storm warning. The National Weather Service forecasts winds on the island of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.

Most of the rest of the state is under a wind advisory. The weather service forecasts winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph through Friday night.

It says the winds could down tree limbs, causing power outages, and could make it difficult for driving.
