SWANSEA, Wales (AP) - Richarlison scored a last-minute winner as Watford maintained its perfect away record in the English Premier League by beating Swansea 2-1 on Saturday.

Watford has won all three of its away games, and trails fourth-placed Tottenham by only goal difference.

Andre Gray gave Watford the lead with his first goal for the club. Substitute Tammy Abraham levelled for the hosts, but Richarlison had the final word as he raced through to win it in the final moments.

Having failed to score in his previous 16 league appearances, Gray ended his dry spell in the 13th minute as he took advantage of Sam Clucas’ and Federico Fernandez’s misunderstanding to slot home from close range.

A dismal first-half led Swansea manager Paul Clement to introduce summer signings Roque Mesa and Abraham at the break.

Having been dropped to the bench, and Wilfried Bony making his first start since returning to Swansea from Manchester City, Abraham quickly staked his claim for a recall, perhaps alongside Bony.

In the 56th, Bony’s shot was saved by Hereulho Gomes but Abraham was on hand to put the rebound away.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw until Richarlison broke through a weak Alfie Mawson challenge before finding the net via a touch from Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Swansea is 14th on the table.
