COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a man has died in an accident that resulted in the shutdown of eastbound Interstate 70 just east of Columbus.

Authorities say the driver of a utility van was killed when it crashed into a semi-truck at around 9 a.m. EDT Sunday in Licking County.

Eastbound lanes were closed the rest of the morning. Authorities say crews also had to clean up a hazardous materials situation.

The dead man’s identity or other information wasn’t released immediately.
