WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) - Maine police say they’ve made an arrest after a pedestrian was killed in an apparent hit-and-run.
Police said 51-year-old Sharon Crawford died Tuesday night after being struck by an SUV in Westbrook at about 9 p.m. They later arrested 32-year-old Natasha Field, of Standish, on charges of aggravated leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and violation of a condition of release.
Field was being held pending arraignment. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
The intersection where the crash occurred was shut down for two hours.
