NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut landlord who admitted to producing a pornographic video of a 17-year-old tenant has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The Day reports (https://bit.ly/2xQ4xxD ) 47-year-old Richard Bruno Jr. was sentenced on Wednesday to 16 years in federal prison. Bruno had previously pleaded guilty to producing child pornography in May.

Prosecutors say Bruno met the 17-year-old tenant who lived in his New London property in 2015. Authorities say he recorded himself in a warehouse he owned engaging in sexual activity with the 17-year-old. Authorities say Bruno offered the teen cash and marijuana in exchange for sex.

The victim has received a $190,000 settlement from Bruno.

Bruno has been ordered to register as a sex offender and undergo mental health treatment upon his release.
