TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - A man is charged with murder after investigators found one victim fatally shot and another severely beaten at a mobile home park in Alabama.
The Tuscaloosa News reports 24-year-old Antwan Laderrick Adams was charged after he called the Tuscaloosa County sheriff’s office to surrender following the Sunday slaying.
Capt. Gary Hood of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit said deputies found 38-year-old Calvin Pruitt Jr. dead from a gunshot wound at the Southern Oaks Trailer Park. A second victim, a 39-year-old man, had been severely beaten and was hospitalized in critical condition.
Investigators also charged 21-year-old Heather Elizabeth Bostic with second-degree assault in connection with the beating. It was not immediately known if either of the suspects had attorneys to represent them.
