SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) - California authorities are looking for witnesses to a fatal hit-and-run in San Rafael near an off-ramp of Highway 101.

The Marin Independent Journal reports (https://bayareane.ws/2wHWjF4 ) California Highway Patrol received reports of a man found at the off-ramp on Tuesday night. Despite efforts by paramedics, the man was pronounced dead shortly after authorities reached him. Officials say the man’s injuries show he was struck by a vehicle.

California Highway Patrol is looking for people who saw the collision or have information regarding the case.
